The Feds Are Targeting CA Dispensaries!
As you may have heard, the federal government has launched a crackdown on a number of Medical Marijuana (MMJ) dispensaries in California. The feds have threatened and warned certain dispensaries to close down
within 45 days or face criminal charges and confiscation of property.
The fed is using certain criteria to justify this pursuit.
One is targeting dispensaries that grow 1000 or more plants per year. These are the "big player" dispensaries. So it appears the most successful (and powerful) dispensaries are being targeted for elimination.
Another criterion is dispensaries that are within 1000 feet of schools and parks. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA LEGALIZED MMJ BY VOTE. THE PEOPLE decided how far away from schools and parks dispensaries could be, but the feds are claiming that federal law trumps state law. The Constitution of the United States was set up so that THE PEOPLE of the states, not the fed, have jurisdiction over themselves. What happens at day 45 will set a major precedent going forward, in the MMJ industry and beyond.
Other criteria are expected as day 45 moves closer.
Suspicious Timing & Motives
MMJ has been legal in California for 15 years.
Why is the fed suddenly cracking down now, out of the blue??? It's had 15 years to do so.
This brings the fed's motives and criteria on dispensaries into question.
We note that an election year is right around the corner.
